Why we do this
Last Exit started out of a love for retro. For the enamel sign that still has exactly the same colour after eighty years on a facade. For the glow of glass neon above a workbench. For the petrol pump with more story in it than the car next to it.
What began as collecting became searching, and searching became a shop. Today our pieces find their way to garages, man caves, pubs and living rooms all over Europe. Every sign that leaves here has been in our own hands.
What we sell
Enamel signs
From brands and oil and petrol companies, made in fired vitreous enamel that keeps its colour after decades.
Neon lights
Lighting that gives a room atmosphere in one go, and that you can watch go on and off at the press of a button.
Petrol pumps
The heaviest category, literally and figuratively. The showpiece of many a man cave.
How we select
Our pieces come from all over the world: from manufacturers who still fire enamel the classic way, from collectors parting with part of their collection, and from suppliers we have worked with for years. In everything we look at the same things: the quality of the enamel, the condition of edges and colours, and whether the design is worth hanging on the wall. What does not make the cut, we do not sell.
Condition and signs of use
Wear is part of vintage. A sign that hung on a facade for thirty years shows it, and that is exactly the charm. We photograph every piece as it is, chips, scratches and fading included, and describe flaws you cannot see in the photos. So you know what you are bringing home.
